You don't need to be a member to have a Golf Lesson at a Golf 24 Centre. At Golf 24 our goal is to help everybody improve their golf. Our coaching expertise combined with industry leading TrackMan technology enables us to provide tailored improvement unlike any other golf facility. Golf 24 provides coaching options to suit every golfer at every level. Whether you are new to the game, looking to tune-up or need a complete game overhaul, our PGA Professional Coaches can help you lower your handicap, faster.
Every coaching session includes private use of a Golf 24 studio plus TrackMan data recording and video analysis with our PGA Professional. After each session, your data, video analysis and the professional’s notes are uploaded onto your Golf 24 Performance Portal for review and future performance tracking.

Dave Mellsop
Southport Centre Manager/Head Professional
Dave has been a Certified PGA member for 23 years, completing his traineeship in New Zealand in 2000.
Dave is Trackman level II Certified and has taught all levels of Golfers from beginners to tour players in New Zealand, China and Australia.
Solid fundamentals for all Dave's students are the key to Dave’s knowledgeable and relaxed approach to coaching with short game, mental game and TrackMan lesson’s being Dave’s speciality.
Dave truly believes Golf 24 is the ultimate venue to learn, understand your game, practice correctly and then transition this onto the Golf Course.
Dave will be available for our members and non members for coaching and club fitting and looks forward to welcoming all golfers to Golf 24 Southport.
Wayne Perske
Hendra Centre Manager/Head Professional
Meet our Golf 24 Hendra Head Professional and Centre Manager, Wayne Perske. Wayne has a Professional career spanning 23 years with the first 17 years as a Touring Professional, winning on the Australasian Tour and the prestigious Japan Golf Tour. A highlight of Wayne’s career was playing in the 2006 British Open at Royal Liverpool.
Wayne became a full vocational member of the PGA of Australia in 2017 via the bridging program and is qualified advanced in coaching. With a focus on helping players have fun on the course while shooting lower scores, Wayne has had huge success with all levels of golfers from beginners to tournament professionals.

Brent German
Indooroopilly Centre Manager/ Head Professional
Meet our new Golf 24 Indooroopilly Centre Manager & Head Professional, Brent German.
Brent has been a Golf Professional and member of the Professional Golfers Association of Australia since 2003.
Brent started playing golf in 1981 when he was 11 and has loved it ever since.
Brent has won two club championships at Tocumwal Golf Club and Corowa Golf Club as an Amateur and many Pennant Flags when he lived in Country Victoria.
Brent is passionate about coaching and is driven to help his students excel their golf potential and tailor a solution to elevate their game in an easy-to-understand manner.
Brent believes mindset is a main ingredient of golf and is also a qualified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner (NLP) so he can anchor in good feelings while his students are playing the game and eradicate all nerves and tension, improving their game plus enhancing life at home and work.
Brent is an expert of eradicating the yips (where your hands have a nervous twitch - effecting the putter face at impact) from his students game. This is common in putting and sometimes chipping. Brent learnt this in person with Hank Haney, Tiger Woods best coach.
Below are Brent's additional achievements:
- Spent a week in Miami, Florida, at Jim McLean's Golf School at Doral, enhancing his coaching toolbox.
- Caddied over ten times for world-class players in the Australian Masters, Women’s Australian Open and Australian PGA for European Tour Players which culminated in a win in the 2014 Australian Masters at Metropolitan, caddying for Nick Cullen who won by one shot from Adam Scott.
- Studied Bio-Mechanics with Mike Adams from USA and is a qualified Club Fitter.
Brent is excited to start his new role as he understands the benefits of using TrackMan Technology for practice and improvement, as well as the ability to play real golf indoors at a time that suits our members most.
Matthew Lainson
Melbourne Centre Manager/Head Professional
Meet our Golf 24 Melbourne Head Professional and Centre Manager, Matthew Lainson. Matthew is a Certified PGA Professional (Advanced Coaching & Game Development) & Level II TrackMan Certified.
Matthew completed his PGA Traineeship at the Keysborough Golf Club where he developed a successful coaching business. From juniors, beginners, club members and professionals, Matthew’s passion for coaching extends through all types of golfers.
